Bella and Jimbo, my newest pets just hanging around

I've had these guys lingering around my apartment for a while and finally decided what I wanted to do with them. A bit of paint, a frilly tutu, a dash of trim and they're ready to hit the runway!

Bella - she loves a good tutu and showing it off!











Jimbo - ran away from the circus for some sightseeing but brought along his lucky trunks for the company.









Shhhh, don't tell but Jimbo loves to have his nails done.

Something other than bags for a change

I need a serious break from stitching (we'll see how long that lasts) so I decided to take out the bottle of Inkodye I bought a few months back on a splurge and try it out!....with varying results. I loosely followed the directions from this tute off of Dharma Trading.

First I went to the copy store and got some images printed b&w on transparencies........it dawned on me literally as I was pouring the dye that I was going to end up with negative images as the prints. Doh! Oh well, next time I know I'll get that right.

And lastly...my greatest disappointment :-\ A shirt I tried to expose film negatives on. The negatives curled up in the sun and just didnt work out. Next time I'd make sure to have a heavy piece of glass to weigh it down with from the start. Oh well, I'll probably do some screen printing over it later, it's still a pretty color.



Now I need to get more dye! This stuff is awesome!!

Oh and a fun piece of art I made.



If the print seems familiar it's the same one I used on my mold study in Fibers back in December. Screen printed the image onto cotton fabric. Did the sharpie/alcohol trick with blue sharpie, and then watercolors with yellows. Then some machine stitching in red. :D It was a little hard to give away.

This first week of my shop being opened has been amazing! I hope to keep it up, and still have a few more things that still need to be put in the shop. Someone mentioned that I also got featured on the FashionablyGeek site which blows my mind. This is too cool.

All week I've been stitching my hands sore to bring you more...you guessed it, Who bags! They're still in a million pieces but it's my top priority right now. Trust me, you'll be seeing them soon.

Ok, moments away from posting my first items up for sale on my etsy. I just wanted to say how much I appreciate all the support from you guys. Oh and I'm a newbie at this so please forgive me if there's any technical difficulties. I will learn!

Etsy Announcement!

Ok, I've gotten tons of messages about when I'll be opening up shop and inquiries about my Dr. Who bag. Here's the low-down:

- I will be posting items for sale starting tomorrow (afternoon - got stuff to do in the morning)!!! I'll be doing a couple of batches over the next few days which will include the Dr. Who bag, my Hunger Games bag, and a few more bags (one of which is Harry Potter themed - did I cover enough fandoms yet? =)). As well, I have some art pieces, jewelry, etc to put in my shop so stay tuned for that.

- Unfortunately at this point I only have one Dr. Who bag in stock which will be up for grabs for the first buyer. For everyone that misses out on that, don't worry! I have plans to make more.  Keep in mind, though, that making these bags is time consuming so it'll be a little while before they show up in my shop again.

An Etsy Shop near you! Coming soon!!!

I got this in the mail a few days ago!!!



Not what I was originally planning to do for my cards but I love it just the same! Who knew it'd be so hard to fit images on such a small format? But anyway, the flamingos were from a screen printing project I did last year and love! Getting the cards gave me the kick in the pants I needed to really get my shop up and running. I think it's just about ready to go except for a few tweaks here and there. Barring some unforeseen event, I'm aiming to start listing items by next weekend!

I just spent the last 4 hours editing pictures, making notes on measurements, filling out my shop info, etc. Last thing to do before I'm ready is to put together an awesome giveaway for all the awesome support I've gotten through here in the last few months! There's definitely going to be a couple of Teesha Moore items (seriously need to come up with a new description for those - help?) as well as some other fun stuff I've been working on to put in my shop.

Dr Who Travels to Teesha Moore land!

I finally got a new lightbox rigged up so my pictures should hopefully be better in general! Here's my latest completed bag - Dr Who!! I'll be working hard this weekend to get new pictures of all the inventory I have stocked up for my etsy opening!! I'm still slowly working on getting my shop opened - it all sounds so easy until you sit down to actually do it. I'd love any help or advice from any of you guys who have etsy shops already! Please =)
