The week has gone by in a flash and I'm trying to catch up it seems like. I just added my Game of Thrones bag to my etsy shop with new and improved pictures. I also managed to finish a project for a lovely lady in AZ that should go out in the mail next week sometime hopefully...but in avoiding things I should be working on, last week I decided to break out the screen printing stuff and made myself some fun shirts.
I've been meaning to print my jawbone on a shirt for the longest time and I finally did! Excuse how wrinkled it is, I had be wearing it previously.
This one was kind of fun; some rather loose screenprinting application and a laser-eye bunny! The little orange mark in the middle of its body was a flub but I don't mind it too much (I guess, it's not coming out now).
I also played around some more with bleach and a bleach pen which was fun. Nothing worth posting but I have those in the back of my mind for future shirt embellishing projects! I have 4 blank shirts on standby for when inspiration strikes.
Ok back to some more stitching - working on a fun custom order for a lady who is making a jacket out of patches. I'm intrigued!

Vacation Time!
I've been on vacation all week and it has been pretty awesome. Unfortunately I couldn't plan a trip to get away but my week has filled up pretty nicely with fun outings with friends and family, and the oh-so necessary chores and errands that I put off most days.
Monday was a chore day, and it was just as well since it was downpouring all day. I got the oil changed in my car, did some grocery shopping and then came home and tried to make some more progress on a project that as of yet cannot be revealed. But I did take some pictures of some doodles I was playing with - normally when I sketch I do it in pencil so I can erase mistakes as I go, but I wanted to try something that was a little less forgiving so I went with pen...it actually wasn't too horrible.
Randomness growing from randomness.
I am quite horrible at drawing hair still...
And a few patches I can share that I'm pretty excited about. I'm playing a lot more with applique and layering of different materials. They're turning out a lot more complex and time consuming than my regular patches but I like it....I am wondering how well it'll integrate into my usual designs but we'll see.
I hope to start on some sketches for this year's Christmas card...it'll be fun and unusual of course. I want to try to challenge myself to at least a 4 layer lino print so the planning for that will be challenging...and there's the extra challenge of trying to keep it within a 2 x 2 inch format just because I like making things harder for myself haha. Wish me luck on that.

Winter Is Here, a New Theme Bag
I wanted to make the title of this post the theme song for The Game of Thrones show, but I wasn't sure how to type the humming noise I make when I sing it to myself....
..that aside *ahem* I have a new Game of Thrones bag!! to show off. I can't even wait to get my photo set up out, I had to snap pictures as soon as I finished it this morning. There's tons of detail, beading, bloody embroidery, etc etc. Seriously if you haven't seen the show or read the books do it!..if you have to do only one go for the books (so much more detail of course).
Anyway, on to the bag!

New bags and stuff
Still working on the game of Thrones bag; almost done, just need to sew up a lining and handle. In the meantime I put a whole slew of new bags and FQs in my etsy shop!
Check out my shop for even more pictures!
