So the end of each year always brings "Best of" lists wherever you go. Craftster is no exception. And guess what! I'm one of them. I don't know that I ever posted about this before but I've made it about 4 years running which is a huuuuuuggge compliment and I am utterly flattered to be included in such great company with such lovely talented people.
I'm a Craftster Best of 2013 Winner!
This year my last "bag explosion" (and by bag explosion I mean a giant post on a bunch of bags I made) made the grade. It was a ton of work but I'm really pleased with how it came out. Here's the original post I made about it on this blog and the post itself on craftster.
I was ALSO selected for one of the best screen printing posts for my super uber detailed tutorial on at-home screen printing. You remember the one? Three posts long and took about a week to write up, not to mention all the time it took to document the whole thing. Here it is on craftster again.
It is so great to know that people enjoy what I do as much as I do and while I create for myself I can continue to share it with others and bring happiness to the world in that way...ok getting a bit philosophical and sappy...weird. Hah.
In other news, I am probably less than a week away from finishing 12 new, fancy, fandom-based bags! (Well, 13 to be specific but one is a custom order.) I am trying really hard to be focused on getting them done and there is a deadline to consider but my mind keeps straying away to future projects and things of such imagination. I went to my favorite local thrift shop and dropped $20 (which is a lot more than I usually spend there as stuff is cheap and awesome!) on a bunch of new-to-me supplies. I am hoping to soon be working on a fun doily bunting for an upcoming baby shower and will probably have a few more projects grow from that. Not to mention I'm itching to play with some beads and whatnot for a few new necklaces I'd like to try to make.
I have a 4 day weekend coming up after tomorrow. The question, though, is how much can I get done in that time? We shall see!
